July 12, 2004 - IBM today announced the immediate availability of IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express, a new addition to the IBM Express portfolio of offerings for small and medium business. IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express is designed to make it faster, easier and less expensive for mid-size companies to deploy state-of-the-art e-mail messaging and scheduling solutions that improve employee and organizational productivity.
IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express gives mid-size customers e-mail, group scheduling, discussion forum and document library capabilities at an affordable price. Starting at $48 per user when trading up from competitive e-mail products, the new offering is priced to simplify license management and helps maximize productivity through efficient use of hardware and network resources, streamlined administration and resistance to viruses and spam.
"Small and mid-size organizations, including more than 225,000 IBM eServer iSeries customers worldwide, share many of the same e-mail and scheduling requirements as large enterprises: uptime, innovative features and affordable total cost of ownership," said Arthur Fontaine, senior market manager, IBM Lotus Software. "Yet, they don't have the IT staff or resources needed to acquire and deploy enterprise-level solutions. Messaging Express gives these customers a proven, Domino-based e-mail offering that's easy to install and maintain."
Like all IBM Express middleware, IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express is built on an open standards-based, flexible software architecture that integrates easily with existing IT investments and delivers the same customer-managed capabilities of all Domino-based solutions. Together, IBM Express middleware, including IBM Lotus Express, IBM DB2 Express and IBM WebSphere Express, helps mid-size customers forge tighter linkages between information, business processes and people.
Customers can buy up to 1,000 licenses of IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express for as low as $48* per user when trading up from competitive e-mail products, or $96* for new purchases www.ibm.com/businesscenter/us/express/. Some restrictions apply.
