Sometimes, you will want to run a program of your own on a public computer. In other instances, you might feel the need to bring your own operating system with you.
For many people, the possibility of having that kind of mobility is out of the question. However, there are ways that you can bring large files and programs with you on the go. One way to do that is by using your flash drive.
Don’t believe it?
Now I know that some of you are surely incredulous. You know that you can carry large files, but can you actually execute programs? The crazy answer to that is yes. You can even store an operating system on a flash drive and use it.
While it is definitely doable, it is a little bit difficult to make these things work. You will need to have the right knowledge on what executable files to transfer. This can also differ if you are using different kinds of operating systems. For example, on a Mac, you typically do not ever run executable files for computers. However, through using certain software, you can circumnavigate this issue. Again, this is doable from your flash drive as well.
One of the things that you will need to keep in mind if you are going to run programs off of your flash drive is that you may have a hard time fitting everything onto the drive. To avoid a storage problem, make sure you are using a suitable capacity for the programs you need.
